How Best to Prepare for iGCSE Exams

How Best to Prepare for iGCSE Exams

Miss Wheelwright, Head of Key Stage 4, and Mr Willis, Head of Curriculum, spoke to our Year 11 cohort today about how best to prepare for, and what to expect in, their upcoming iGCSE exams. A significant portion was devoted to the upcoming mock examinations, scheduled for early December.

Mr Willis explained that these are not merely practice runs but diagnostic tools: results will inform targeted interventions, such as additional support sessions for underperforming subjects. Some of the other topics covered were study strategies, A Level vs iGCSE, and A Level vs IB, to name a few.

The assembly concluded with a Q&A, where students raised concerns such as subject choices. Both speakers encouraged early consultations with form tutors for personalised advice. This timely discussion is intended to bolster our cohort’s confidence as we approach the exam season.
