Congratulations to the five Year 10 students who completed their HPQ this month. Your hard work and willingness to go the extra mile will inspire the next group of students, as we relaunch the HPQ in June to current Year 10 students. Many new skills were learnt or developed; including critical thinking and evaluation, considering the reliability of sources of research and of course planning and time management. Well done and we look forward to seeing your results in August!
The HPQ (Higher Project Qualification):
Equivalent to half an IGCSE, these additional projects help develop a range of extra study skills. They are marked on the student’s ability to plan, manage, complete and review their project, which is on a subject of their choosing. They are also highly valued by universities and further education institutions as they demonstrate the ability and commitment to independent learning.
