This year’s Secondary swimming gala was an electrifying event that kept spectators on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Four schools took part in the event - hosts EIC, first time entrants Sunnyview, Swans and Sotogrande.
From the first race, it was clear that the competitors were well-prepared, with swimmers from each school giving standout performances in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly events. The relay races, however, were where the true drama unfolded, with each team pushing to gain a crucial advantage.
As the final scores were tallied, the tension in the venue was palpable. In the end, EIC narrowly edged out Sotogrande by just 8 points, making it one of the closest finishes in gala history.
This thrilling event not only showcased the incredible athleticism and determination of the swimmers but also the deep sense of sportsmanship between the schools.
