Year 1 had a fantastic opportunity to visit the Science lab with Dr Maria Sutcliffe. The children were fascinated by the equipment in the lab and had countless questions to ask. We learnt about density and observed Dr Sutcliffe testing various materials in water. We discovered how bubbles are formed and the effects of oxygen and carbon dioxide on fire. The children enjoyed gaining hands-on experience in making density towers, using pipettes and a variety of different liquids. At the end, we had the opportunity to have fun with bubbles!
A big thank you to Dr Sutcliffe and Mr Julio for all their preparation and their warm welcome. We all had a blast!
