The Cambridge International Project Qualification is now in its fourth year at EIC

The Cambridge International Project Qualification is now in its fourth year at EIC. As the students are nearing the deadline for submitting their work, they presented their findings to their peers. Students have to research an academic subject, write a 5,000-word report, keep a research log and include a bibliography of all of their research.

This year, Olivia presented her findings on the extent of societal forces on anorexia nervosa, including the impact of anorexia on the brain. Daniela researched the tangible and intangible impact of tourism on Spain and we all learned something about flamenco. Joseph researched whether the UK's commitment to net zero by 2050 was achievable, examining the social and political impact of achieving this target. Jasmine's research investigated the potential threats or benefits artificial intelligence will bring in the future, discussing the impact on jobs, medicine and the military. Aleksandra's scientific research into Alzheimer's disease examined genetic and non-genetic risk factors for developing this debilitating disease that impacts millions of people. Finally, Millie completed extensive research regarding the relevance of Stoicism in modern society. The impact of Covid-19 and other societal issues makes this topic very relevant.

All of the students delivered their presentations with unabashed enthusiasm. Well done to you all!
