The EIC got into their time machine and went all the way back to the 80’s for an afternoon of music, dancing, good cheer, nostalgia and sunshine!
The Summer Fiesta never fails to bring together our school community and this year was no exception. With the amazing help and support of the PTA, Year 10 students, parent and teacher volunteers, the campus was alive and buzzing.
Every student in Primary took to the stage to perform to some 80’s classics! From our very youngest students in Early Years (looking wonderfully cute and coordinated) right through to our Year 6’s (effortlessly cool and full of energy), performing in their final fiesta, FUN was definitely the word of the day.
The entertainment didn’t stop there though. With the biggest raffle that the school has ever done, prizes were drawn and won which included tickets to see Robbie Williams in concert and €100 cash to name just two! A big thank you to each and every donation that we received - it really did make the afternoon. The stage was lit up once again with an array of talent from both Primary and Secondary students including our Year 7 and Year 9 bands, our Year 3 “Yazzettes” and stunning solo performances too.
An enormous thank you to the PTA for all of their organisation: the food, the drink, the Rodeo Bull, the Year 10 activities, the face painting, the tombola...the list goes on!
Ideas are already being discussed for next year’s event...watch this space!
