In October, three EIC students, sat the Institute of Chess Level 1 Examination, based on a course created by former British Champion GM Chris Ward. This is a test of chess knowledge, with the option to progress to more advanced levels later. Two of the students passed with 100% and one passed with Distinction. Well done to all three students who will be progressing to the Level 2 course, taught by Mr Woolacott.
