Year 6 travelled to the Cuevas de Nerja (the Nerja Caves) which incidentally were discovered in 1959 by a group of young locals who were on a late-night walk searching for bats. After having our snack, we had a chance to experience the outdoor play zone. Then, led by a guide and equipped with audio guides, we descended into a mysterious underworld of stalactites, stalagmites, columns, gours and spirals.
Once back on terra firma, we took a quick bus ride into Nerja to have our lunch on the beachfront, followed by a short walk to savour the glorious Andalucian sea views from the Balcón de Europa.
