Today is UN World Science Day and at EIC this has particular significance during our Year of Environmental Awareness. The particular theme of World Science Day this year is “Building Climate-Ready Communities”. This has particular resonance now as world leaders meet to address the climate crisis at COP26 in Glasgow and as many countries struggle to adapt to a changing climate.
This is the most urgent and pressing issue facing all of us and young people in particular have led the way in insisting that we take meaningful action. In Science lessons today we have been discussing this topic and it will continue to be the focus of our attention throughout the year.
