As an introduction activity for Market Research in Business Studies we started with some of the key terms and asked the students to work in groups to create a mind map. We were then able to ask some of the questions as to why businesses needed to carry out Primary or Secondary Market Research. What sort of data are they looking for? The advantages and disadvantages of different methods etc. This links in and leads through to the rest of the Marketing Unit, which discusses the 4 Ps: Price, Place, Promotion, Product amongst other things
