Year 6 took part in some drama activities this week as part of their English learning about World War II. Working in small groups, children had to create freeze frames recreating scenes from The Blitz. Sheltering in an Anderson Shelter, exploring a bombed out house, being caught in an air raid attack - these were just some of the scenes they portrayed.
All groups thought carefully about how they could use their bodies to become inanimate objects, as well as the characters they could play. After creating freeze frames, they then brought their scenes to life. This lesson really brought a greater understanding of what a night during The Blitz would have been like.Primary,Primary,
