Year 2 had a wonderful final lesson for their topic The Great Fire of London when they visited the secondary chemistry labs this week to learn about fire. Dr. Sutcliffe explained what fire needs to burn and how to extinguish fire. Year 2s had lots of questions! They predicted and observed the difference in flammability of a potato versus a potato crisp. Year 2 loved thinking scientifically and were very inspired by their trip to the labs.
A huge thank you to Dr. Sutcliffe for such a fascinating demonstration! Year 2 are even more aware of fire safety and flammability.
