Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day

Love was in the air in Primary on Friday as we celebrated qualities such as friendship, respect and loyalty. Children were asked to add a touch of red or pink to accessorise their uniforms; this was the perfect compliment to the day. In addition, our Primary House Captains had come up with two lovely ideas. The first was a “Secret Valentine.” This concept was similar to Secret Santa as every student picked a name from their year group bubble in secret and made them a Valentine’s card. It could have been a friendship card, a kindness card or a traditional Valentine, but the thinking behind it was so that nobody was left out. Finally, we celebrated our wonderful teachers with a special Valentine’s gift to remind them how much they are loved. Once again the House Captains have been working together to discreetly ask the other students for words and phrases which best describe the different teachers. We then turned these into pieces of WordArt and had them framed. Each personalised piece was presented to the staff in assembly and the feelings of appreciation, kindness and love could definitely be seen and felt. It was a truly special way to end the week.

A huge thank you to our Sixth Form who organised this years Valentines gifts giving with students across Secondary receiving balloons, roses or lollipops.

All monies raised from the various sales will go to our House Charities.
