Not even a pandemic was going to stop our fabulous PTA, House Captains and all of the Primary staff from putting on a day of tricks, treats and everything Halloween!
We had a wonderful final day of the first half term which was kicked off in true EIC Primary style with our now famous “Wake Up, Spook Up!” The children all looked brilliant with an array of costumes from vampires to astronauts, zombie pirates to devils and even an interesting selection of fruit courtesy of the PE Department! Halloween is not just about ghosts and ghouls; our concept has always been about dressing up, having fun and sharing something together.
Our Events and Fundraising Team from the PTA, headed up by Karoliina and Heather, have been working alongside our House Captains to organise COVID friendly activities that the students could enjoy in their year group bubbles. I am so proud of the different ideas that our House Captains came up with and forever thankful to the PTA Events Committee for sourcing all of the resources that we needed to make it happen and so willingly giving up their time to put it all together. It’s been a real team effort!
The children really did have a wonderful time, full of dancing, laughter, challenges, messiness, fun and sweets! They even managed to visit a few adults around the campus and “trick or treat.” It was wonderful to be able to give the children this experience safely in school. A spooktacular day was certainly had by all!
