Darkness into Light charity walk

Darkness into Light charity walk
In the early hours of Saturday morning on 11th May, a small but dedicated group of Year 12 and 13 students, alongside some Primary and Secondary staff got themselves out of bed to take part in the Darkness into Light 5KM charity walk in Estepona. (A huge shout out to Miss Heike who decided to start her birthday extra early!).

This is a global event where over 19 countries were taking part to support such a worthwhile cause in aid of raising awareness and funds for the prevention of suicide and self-harm. The message of hope, acceptance and speaking out was at the forefront of all our minds as we set off in the darkness. Even Suzanne's dog, Louis, joined us in our efforts as we completed the course in an hour and arrived back at the start after a beautiful sunrise. It was definitely a humbling experience that will not be forgotten and one we are all so pleased to have been a part of. We look forward to returning next year with even more students to continue supporting this charity event. Well done and thank you to all those who attended.
