Transition Week - Key Stage 3

Aim of the Week 

The aim of our Transition Week is to ensure that our Key Stage 3 students are safe and supported in their return to campus. This week will allow us to go through any new procedures on campus. You will have already received Our Return to September Guide which outlined some of the key changes to both the school day and campus.

Please see below in terms of the format for each day.

Tuesday 1st September

Students arrive by 8:35am and go to the outside refectory space where they will be met by their tutors. Tutors* will then take the students to their tutor bases and have an extended tutor time until 9:40am. Students can be collected from the secondary gate from 3:55pm.

Year 7 and 8

Wednesday 2nd September

Students arrive by 8:35 am. All years should go straight to their tutor base. Year 7 and 8 tutors will have an extended tutor time until 9:40am.

All students can be collected from the secondary gate from 3:55pm.

Year 7, 8 and 9

Thursday 3rd September

Students arrive by 8:35am. All students can be collected from the secondary gate from 3:55pm.

Year 7, 8 and 9

Friday 4th September

Students arrive by 8:35am. All students can be collected from the secondary gate from 3:55pm.


Lunches 

Students will be eating lunch in the refectory and cafeteria. Lunchtimes for this week will be staggered with the menu for the week uploaded to our Ready for September page. Students will be eating with their year group and have a designated playground area for the week. Please ensure that your child has a small snack for break time as food will not be available for students during this week.


Uniform

Please ensure that students arrive in full school uniform and follow our code in terms of jewellery, make up and hair. More information on this can be found here.

Each morning students' uniforms will be checked by their tutors. Please be aware that on the days that students have Physical Education they will be required to come into school in PE kit.


Equipment 

Please ensure that your child comes to school wearing an appropriate face mask (See Ready For September Guide and School Map) and that they are dropped off and collected at the secondary school gate. Students of course should have their own pencil case and equipment please see below:

  • Set of 24 coloured pencils

  • 1 x Glue
  • Felt tips
  • 30cm ruler (transparent with cm & mm)
  • Pencil case
  • Calculator

It is important that students do not share their own equipment
