PTA News - November 2008
Dear Parents, The Variety Show held just over a week age
was another great success: everyone worked extremely hard
to make this show possible and the performances from the
parents and teaching staff were outstanding. A special thank
you to Melissa and Heike for running the bar and the sixth
formers who did an absolutely fantastic job ensuring that
all the audience were waited on. Another special thank you
to Nikki from the Refectory Cafe, who spent all day Saturday
preparing the platters of delicious homemade food, and donated
all to the PTA - Thank-you Thanks once again to Eugene and
Mark from maintenance, for accommodating all of our requests
and without whom none of our events would be possible. And
finally to Debbie the PTA Treasurer, for always ensuring
sufficient funds and efficient accounting.
So from both myself and Preeya - THANK-YOU
As I think most of you by now are aware the PTA last year
funded the purchase of a grand piano to commemorate our
Silver Jubilee. This now has pride of place in the school
hall. I would like to say a special thankyou to Michelle
Herring, who chaired the PTA last school year and everyone
who worked so hard to raise such an incredible amount of
money to make the purchase of the piano possible.
Finally I would like to remind everyone that the Christmas
bazaar is on Saturday 6th December which is less than two
weeks away. Many parents have come forward offering help
but we can always use more - manning PTA stalls, donations
of nearly new toys, raffle prizes, tombola prizes. There
are boxes outside each of the primary classrooms where any
donated items can be left, or in the school office.
Jenny is organising the cake stall this year; if you would
like to donate any homemade cakes, mince pies, festive biscuits......
please call her on 609503984
Any help would be greatly received, however small.
Many Thanks.
