What’s it like to be in Year 3?
I enjoy being in Year 3 because I like doing story writing. At the moment we are reading and writing about Adventures! I also enjoy doing the Times Tables test on a Friday and the Spelling test on a Wednesday. Most of all I like doing Science because we get to do investigations. I enjoyed measuring shadows on the basket ball court.

In Year 3 we do Art, Literacy, Numeracy and much more. We have homework every day. It is very fun in Year 3. We have ICT twice a week, Spanish three times a week and PE twice a week. In the playground we play so many games and we have just been given some fantastic new equipment! On a Friday we have Golden Time where we play and show things.

School Councilor
Two of the Year 6 children came to tell us all about being a school councilor. We then had to prepare a speech to say why we would be good at the job. Next, all of the people participating had to read or say their speech to the rest of Year 3.
We were nervous and a bit excited. Then the children voted for one boy and one girl to be the school councilors and it was us! We were very happy to get the job and are looking forward to our first meeting.

Some quotes from school councilor applications:-
I will help the teachers solve problems and clear up the playground equipment.
Maya
I will be very kind and help people who are alone.

The Romans
This term we will be studying the Romans for our History Topic. We will find out about all the things the Romans did for us that we still use today such as the 12 month calendar, roads and even how to wash!!
Learning about the gladiators should be fun and we will have the opportunity to design and make out own mosaics!!

Golden Time!
The promise of Golden Time really helps us to stick to the Golden Rules. We love playing with our Golden Time games but we are always in need of more! If you have any games at home that you don’t use and are in fairly good condition, please send them into Miss Anna and Miss Jackie. We will gladly take them off your hands!
