SIXTH FORM BARBECUE
It has long been a tradition at EIC that the Upper Sixth welcome the new Lower Sixth into the Sixth Form with a barbecue. This year's event was held on Friday 21st September. All Sixth Formers and members of staff were invited. In keeping with tradition the Upper Sixth put money together to pay for the students' food and drink and the school put up the rest of the money to feed the staff. As an extra bonus Jonathan Langton kindly donated a large amount of alchohol.

The event began with a volleyball tournament in which eight teams took part. Each team had a mix of Lower Sixth, Upper Sixth and staff. The team "It's only fun when you win!" narrowly stole the competition by a handful of points.

Around seventy people attended the barbecue which was a huge success. The food was delicious and the wine flowed freely. The community singing was a highlight (lowlight?) of the evening, when we got to the football songs everyone realised it was time to go home.
