On Tuesday 9th October, Mr S. Hickman led a field trip of EIC young historians to Málaga. The aim of the trip was to examine the evolution of the urban landscape and examine and scrutinise primary evidence (historical artifacts). Málaga is Andalucía's capital and is enriched with cultural diversity. It is a captivating combination between the new and the old that makes it a perfect case study.
The trip focused on three historic sights- The "Castillo de Gibralfaro" (Gibralfaro Castle); "Alcazaba y Museo" (Alcazaba and the Archaeological Museum) and the "Cátedral" (Cathedral).
The pictures on this web page give an insight of the outstanding panoramic views one experiences from the Castillo de Gibralfaro including a bird's-eye view of the "Plaza de Toros" ( The Bullring). Students are photographed completing worksheets and reflecting on the scenery.
