If anyone had offered to take Year 8 to a deserted spot, which was part sandy and part boggy with a deserted one horse town in the middle, one could be forgiven for calling them crazy. So crazy Ms. Fitzsimmons and Mr. Hiscox did just that - they must like a challenge.

Doņana is a unique piece of geography and a world protected site, besides its wonderful flora and fauna and the students all made studies of this as well as having fun.

Doņana changes peoples lives too! David became a secret swimmer, Etienne started eating beetles, James is embarking on a new career as a table tester and Alice, one hears, is starting a jewellery store in the local market. Charlie started his Shakespearean acting career with a disasterous attempt at balcony climbing in a minor production of Romeo and Juliet. Thankfully he was in much better form as Thisbe later on in the year. The week finished off with an attempted ‘dognapping’ by Alejandra and the twins, but was foiled by the local pet police . . . Crazy!
