Saturday, 21st
June was a most important date in the busy schedule of the Drama Department.
At 9.30 pm, in the lovely courtyard of The Gran Hotel, Benahavis, Alice came
to life. Based on Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’,
the students of EIC injected energy and charm into Carroll’s whacky
and colourful characters. Cast from Year 6 through to Year 10, it was hard
to single out outstanding performances as all were a great credit to the school
and their producer. Special mention must go, however, to Mrs Marian Hoogewoud
Dowling whose expertise and creativity as producer/director obviously inspired
the students to give of their very best.
Thanks
must also be given to Mr and Mrs Kazolides for allowing the school to use
their hotel and to all those involved in helping to create a wonderful show
for us all.
